OVERVIEW
The department’s tasks:
- Implementation and monitoring of the Quality Management System of the Cycle I, Bachelor Degree level and the Cycle II, Master’s Degree level within the Moldova State University.
Objectives:
- Monitoring of the Quality Assurance Bodies in the Moldova State University;
- Development of curricula for study programmes of the Moldova State University in accordance with the European Education Area;
- Quality assessment of the conditions/resources, of the process and outcome of the initial and continuing training within the Moldova State University;
- Organization and coordination of the internships.
Areas of activity:
QUALITY ASSURANCE
- Organisation of the Quality Assurance System;
- Development of the indicators and methodology for quality assurance;
- Monitoring the quality assurance process;
- Development of the criteria for quality assessment;
- Monitoring the activity of the Quality Assurance Committees;
- Development of the internal regulations;
- Coordination of the process of development of study programmes;
- Coordination of the development and application of the curricular material;
- Development of the conditions and internal monitoring of the external assessment.
CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
- Defining and achieving strategic objectives of the University regarding the quality of the higher education;
- Monitoring the development of the programmes of study;
- Coordination of the curriculum development process for Cycle I, Bachelor Degree level and the Cycle II, Master’s Degree level;
- Planning and coordination of the quality management system by including proposals from quality assurance bodies from the faculties;
- Monitoring of the implementation of the documents specific for quality assurance and of the made decisions;
- Development and monitoring of the implementation of the quality assurance activities and procedures;
- Monitoring the development process of methodological and didactic materials (textbooks, course-books, lecture notes, methodological guides).
EVALUATION
- Development and monitoring of the evaluation strategy implementation;
- Providing methodological support in the development of the evaluation tools (tests);
- Determining the evaluation criteria and indicators of the quality of education services;
- Evaluation of the regulatory documents of the process of study (programs, curricula, didactic materials);
- Providing methodological assistance regarding the implementation of quality assurance methodology;
- Evaluation of the quality of the process of study/ Evaluation of the academic staff activity;
- Organization and monitoring of the internal auditing process;
- Assistance in the external evaluation process.
INTERNSHIPS
- Development of regulations regarding the internship;
- Supervision of the internship programme/curriculum development;
- Organisation of seminars and conferences;
- Collaboration with the internship coordinators;
- Signing of contracts and establishing collaboration with internship placement companies;
- Supervision of internships;
- Organising pre-internship trainings for students;
- Supervision of the activity of trainee students;
- Assessment (organising conferences to summarise the results of internships).

- Providing logistical support in the process of overview of the evaluation actions, auditing and quality improvement;
- Monitoring the quality assurance process within the following faculties: Psychology and Education Sciences, Sociology and Social Assistance; Economic Sciences; History and Philosophy; Journalism and Communication Sciences, Chemistry and Chemical Technology; Physics and Engineering;
- Providing support for the external evaluation process.
